Sequel to He FineBut is He Saved? He SavedBut is He For Real? Official ReRelease edition by Kim Brooks Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
This story is a pleasant sequel this is just as funny & wit filled as its predecessor. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I hope it has a part 3. But the characters are great, some parts get on my nerves, some make me laugh and some made me shed a tear. I am so happy I purchased this book.
I read the first book "He's Fine...But is He SAVED? Because I thoroughly enjoyed it, I checked to see if there was a sequential and there was, He's Saved...But is He For Real? was also enjoyable, suspenseful and funny at times, particular the scene with Sandy and the preacher. I was LOL w/tears were rolling down my face.
Thanks, Kimberly and keep up the good writing and I look forward to the next book.
I read the first book and it was good. Then I read the reviews that stated the sequel was better. Yes it is but not by much both books are a must read. Many woman are hurt by never having their fathers in their lives. This book gives a recipe of what true forgiveness is in the Biblical way to get over that hurt. I cried and I laughed and you will too. I am waiting for the third installment don't stop with this book. Be bless
This is a wonderful read....not predictable at all. It keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what's coming next for the single ladies. I love how the author included the part about Liz not knowing how to appreciate a good man because she never knew the love of her biological father. She almost missed out on a good GOD-fearing man because she hadn't forgiven her dad for not being there for her. This is true of so many single women. I'm recommending this book, as well as the first one, "He's Fine...But Is He Saved", to my church's singles ministry.
I had to get this one because once I read Pt 1 He's Fine...But Is He Saved I had to keep reading. I was so happy it wasn't over yet. Kimberly Brooks is a very good writer and she keeps you engaged in the book all the way to the end.
The second was not much better than the first. I could not get into the Sandy character. She may have been young, but she was also stupid. The girl friend rule, DO NOT DATE YOUR GIRLFRIENDS' EXES. Sandy went for anything that gave her a second look. I just could not relate to someone that naïve. Michelle was good and determined to live by her beliefs even though she was in love with Pierre. Liz finally got hers. Good for her. Glad this series ended. It just wasn't believable.
Michelle, Liz, and Sandy are up to it again in their pursuits to find and trust the right man.
Ironically, Michelle, the most stable of the three friends gets involved in love triangle. She's caught between her ex, smooth-talking Pierre and David, a true man of God. What will she do? Stick with the familiar by going back to her past love or step out on faith and trying someone new?
Sandy, "Ms. Guillable" keeps trying to find the right man, but she gets herself in a mess everytime she tries. In fact, she will find herself in a compromising situation with one of her friend's boyfriend. Will she ever learn?
Minister Liz finds Mr. Right, but her jealousy threatens to drive him away. When her man, (who also is a minister), interacts with other women at church, it makes Liz crazy. Why? Is she insecure or does she have a problem with men in general? If so, why? What issues is she trying to hide under her faith?
Don't we all have issues? Don't we all try to hide them under the cloak of religion, work, or some other vice?
While these women will struggle with their relationships with men and their friendship with one another, they will see God at work. This story highlights the power of
Forgiveness
Persistence
Love
God's grace
It's a great sequel to "He's Fine, But Is He Saved?"
It's a must read for any woman who is struggling with relationships with men or with their female friends.
Lord knows we ladies need tho ask that question & do what the Word says .. Watch the fruit that comes behind the man or woman that is asking to get to know us better. Ladies stop riding the range for a husband, it says he that finds a wife finds a good thing as one of the characters in this book made out plain.
